img4ad9f33341cb7 Well folks, as you might of guessed from the title of this article – Liverpool was handed their fourth defeat of the season by the Sunderland black cats.

Liverpool started of the match without two of it’s biggest stars, Steven Gerrard & Fernando Torres, who failed to recover in time to face the black cats this Saturday from international duty.

The match started with much controversy surrounding Sunderland’s first goal, when five minutes into the match Darren Bent struck a Reid cross goalwards, but as Johnson came across to clear, but the ball cannoned off like a stray beach ball and past Pepe Reina.

The Liverpool players protested to the referee, but the goal was given and Liverpool was down a goal.

The odd goal took a lot out of the Reds, as they struggled during the first half of the game. Luckily for them, they seemed to have pepped up during the break, as Pool came back in with a breath of fresh air in the second half.

Try as hard as they might, Liverpool fought through the second half into the seven minutes of stoppage time – their efforts useless as they failed to score an equalizer goal.

With this looming lose on their wrap sheet, Liverpool drops down to the eight spot of the Premier League standings.

Hopefully with international duty on the back burner until the World Cup next summer, Torres can now souly focus on Liverpool, and focus on getting a championship for him & the Reds.

Who wouldn’t want to see that? I sure would.
