Flawless World Cup Qualifying Campaign, Great Job Spain!
24 views 16 October 2009
Although most speculated a perfect outcome for Spain, it became official yesterday when Spain beat out Bosnia-Herzegovina to get a perfect 10 out of 10 matches won!
Amazing to come out on top of their Group standing, but Spain proved to be more amazing by winning all their qualifying matches. A feat only accomplished by three other countries.
Holland managed to win all their 8 qualifiers this year, back in 1982 West Germany won their eight qualifiers, and in 1970 Brazil claimed maximum points from their six outings.
Not bad company to be a part of, wouldn’t you agree?
Torres sat the game out, don’t worry though, Spain gave a five star performance, scoring five goals for the end spread sheet.
With qualifiers coming to an end, the next time you’ll be seeing Spain play is when the 2010 World Cup begins! And believe me when I say, I can’t wait to see them work their way to victory?!
