Torres and Rafael

It comes to no surprise that Fernando Torres stock in the football world has gone up considerably in the past couple of years.

An amazing young talent, Torres came to English football by joining the prestigious Liverpool FC club back in 2007. Since then Torres has been knocking down barriers and taking names – scoring an impressive 50 goals for Liverpool in only 2 seasons!

A humble young man from Madrid, it’s no wonder why people have taken to the Spaniard. Looks, humility, and most importantly raw talent – you could contest that Torres has it all.

With the new 09/10 season about to begin shortly, Rafael Benitz has let it slip that over the summer Torres has had big multimillion dollar offers for his services. To quote the man:

“We’ve had big offers for some of our players this summer, and believe that Torres was amongst most of them.”

Who’s looking to scoop up Torres? Big names such as Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, and of course the always dubious Real Madrid have all put in an offer for the striker. The biggest offer placed on the table for the Spanish striker being 70 million Euros!

Still no amount of many can sway Torre’s loyalties, who’s repeatedly stated his not interested in a new club. With honor that could rival a Japanese samurai, Torres plans to stick with Liverpool until the end of his contract.

So Liverpool fans don’t worry, you can count on Fernando Torres to be here until the bitter end – which wont be so bitter, seeing at how fond Torres has become of his new English club.

Lets hope all his loyalty and lover for Liverpool can help motivate him and the rest of his squad into winning the EPL and Champions League!
