Humble With A Heart of Gold

The popular Liverpool footballer is known for his humility, both on and off the pitch.

Recently proving his heart of gold by donating a pair of signed football boots to the Spanish delegation of Joint Force Command Brunssum’s International Charity Committee.

Our beloved Fernando wasn’t the only celebrity to donate something of value. Along with Liverpool’s number ‘9′, there was famous Spanish actos, Antonio Banderas and Javier Bardem, who chose to donate articles of clothing up for auction.

Then of course their were famous Spanish athletes; LA Lakers power-forward Pau Gasol, who donated a pair of basketball sneakers and Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso and Liverpool shot-stopper Pepe Reina donated a pair of gloves. Other notable names and objects auctioned where those of: Albert Contador a yellow cycling jersey, Sergio Garcia a pair of golfing shoes and the long list also includes several articles donated by the bullfighter Jose Tomas.

All the money raised from the biding auctions will go to panish delegation of Joint Force Command Brunssum’s International Charity Committee, who this year will fight to create food banks, children centers, and water wells in less fortunate countries like Afghanistan and Burkina Fossa — just to name a few.
