Dominating the pitch over the years, Fernando Torres has become a celebrated striker not only in Spain but around the world. With such increasing fame, it’s only natural big tycoon company Konami would notice the rising star.

This past Monday the Konami company announced that Fernando alongside Argentina and Barcelona player Lionel Messi will be the new faces of Pro Evolution Soccer 2010.

This is what Torres had to say about signing with the Japanese giants:

“Everyone knows that when it comes to football simulation, Konami’s PES series is by far the most realistic title available. The new game looks absolutely stunning, and I look forward to seeing myself in action in PES 2010.”

PES European Team Leader, Jon Murphy, described Torres as:

“one of the most exciting strikers in the game. He encapsulates everything that is good about the modern game, showcasing both pace, skill and vision – three elements that play a major part in PES 2010 as a football simulation.”
