Victory at Craven Cottage

Anyone who’s seen Liverpool play this past couple of games, know the Reds are on fire! They’re playing like their lives depend upon it, and are climbing up the Premier League charts.
Even with such a strong team like Liverpool, it seemed like the Reds where having a rough, frustrating game this past Saturday. In the first half alone the Reds managed to strike the post four times to no avile.
Liverpool number 9, Fernando Torres, started the match in his usual
striking role. His skills really showed through when he was on the edge of Fulham’s area, where he took a good shot but was stopped by the home keeper.
A very aggressive Liverpool tried all they could. Attacking the goal area relentlessly, but lady luck wasn’t on their side as Liverpool shots were blocked out and saved by the post.
Andrea Dossena struck the bar for a second time with a diving header from a Steven Gerrard cross, before Fernando Torres struck the far post with a smart shot across the keeper. The Liverpool forward had done everything right, but the ball by some miracle of God managed to stay out.
As time progressed it didn’t look like the Reds would take home a victory. With stoppage time already at hand it looked like it wouldn’t be the Merseysiders day, when up popped second-half substitute Yossi Benayoun. Benayoun managed to find the back of the net from inside the box. A goal much deserved for Torres and the Reds after dominating the match from start to end.
